The sun hangs low and lazy in the sky now, the nights are longer, and the glistening snow is replacing the morning dew. I love the shift of seasons, and both body and brain look forward to the changes they bring. One of those changes is adjusting to the shorter days, and inability to spend full days outside in the sunshine. When fall/winter comes, I regularly find myself turning inward. Reading, painting, and doing all sorts of art projects takes precedence in my downtime and makes my heart happy!
Stumptown Art Studio in downtown Whitefish offers a variety of artsy classes from clay work to making glass mosaics to acrylic painting of various subjects, to keep you busy on the chilly days. They do offer these types of classes all year long, but there’s definitely a wider variety for winter and spring. They offer both kiddo and adult classes, and it’s a blast to sit with like-minded folks and learn a new skill! Here’s a link to their adult class schedule, and I hope to see you there someday soon!
